It’s taken us over a year to gather these tracks, carefully collecting them one-by-one and waiting patiently for them to come together as a VA.
Each piece was set aside with intention, until, slowly, the full story revealed itself.
Now that it has found its shape, this release lands at a time when many people around the world are still fighting for freedom and basic human rights.
So it felt right to name it something that acknowledged that.
We chose Āzātīh – an ancient Persian word for freedom.
More than a title, it is a word filled with longing, memory, resistance and hope.
With this VA, we honour that hope – the hope for a world where every human being is free, valued equally and met with dignity.
